AluFusion is a new type of window and residential door system with 70 mm construction depth whose predominant property lies in the union of aluminium and uPVC. Besides the familiar functions of an aluminium cover, the special features of AluFusion include in addition the sliding connection between the functional aluminium and uPVC sash profiles and the absent glazing bead.
The aluminium profile takes over the static functions, so steel reinforcement in the uPVC profile is needed only in special cases. This absence of steel serves to enhance further the outstanding thermal insulation properties that AluFusion has to start with, for a UV value of 1.2 W/(m2K). Moreover, the excellent sound insulation properties of uPVC profiles are additionally boosted to 44 DB.
In producing its uPVC profiles, KÖMMERLING not only makes use of regrinds, but its virgin uPVC is exclusively free of lead with environmentally friendly stabilisers based on calcium and zinc.
AluFusion can be used in a great many ways. Whether a flush mounted window design of straight lines, a semi recessed variant like on aluminium window facades, or large floor-to-ceiling glazed elements AluFusion makes it possible.
Excellent design potential is also presented by elements up to 3.5 m in height without couplers and sliding sashed doors up to 2.5 m in height.
